Using ISN Labs and Equipment

ISN welcomes MIT researchers—students, postdocs, faculty, and staff—to access ISN's world-class facilities and instrumentation. Whether supporting ISN-funded research or pursuing independently supported projects, the ISN labs are open to the broader MIT research community.

Access Application Process

Access to ISN facilities requires completion of MIT Environmental Health and Safety requirements and ISN-specific access procedures. This ensures safe, compliant use of ISN laboratories and equipment.

ISN Equipment

ISN maintains a comprehensive suite of cutting-edge research instrumentation in Technology Square. ISN facilities are available to ISN-funded researchers and the broader MIT research community.

Scheduling Equipment Time

After completing safety training and obtaining ISN access approval, researchers can use the ISN intranet's scheduling system to reserve equipment and book lab time.

World-class research. Cutting-edge technologies.
