Devices and Materials with Advanced Functionalities

SRA-4 investigates three different materials platforms that, through innovative designs and formulations, provide high-functionality properties. These innovative platforms are: digital fibers and fabrics for fiber and fabric digital computing systems; 2-D electronic materials for RF spectral control; and thermo-optic readout bolometers to provide longwave IR photon detectability at the quantum noise limit.
